Here in Ealing, we take the training and development of our staff very seriously. We don’t just want the most committed and professional social workers to join us. We want them to stay with us for the long term and build outstanding careers, which is why we invest so much in training
Our Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE) programme is a good example of how we ensure social workers get the best support possible at the start of their career, we offer reflective workshops, additional supported supervision sessions and relevant cross borough, West London Alliance (WLA) training in the first year of employment. We have also developed our Career Progression Scheme, giving Social Workers the opportunity to progress to Senior Social Worker level, once they have met certain milestones and can evidence their progression with a CPD portfolio. In addition, our Family Partnership Model training provides social workers and managers with an evidence based framework and model aiming to improve outcomes for families by giving practitioners a sound evidenced based theory and framework, using tools to integrate the model into their practice
You will enjoy every opportunity to develop your particular interests in specific areas of social work; we offer a comprehensive range of skills development courses on a variety of different social work subjects and for those with more experience, we have opportunities to become involved in social work education by completing the practice education framework. We provide a range of supervisory and management development programmes to help you progress your career with us
Our staff transfer scheme offers you the potential opportunity to transfer between teams to a post at the same level. Through this, you will have the chance to develop your professional expertise by working across a range of specialist teams.
